Hands-on Review: Summit Soap Company

Thursday, October 18, 2012

Upcycled soap? I know… I was slightly skeptical when this review first crossed my desk. Until that day, I had never considered upcycled soap. By the time, the package was 6 inches from my nose I had already started my conversion. Summit Soap smells FANTASTIC! The primary ingredient in this upcycled soap is cooking oil from Rocky Mountain, Colorado restaurants. The vegetable cooking oil is then purified and quality tested. The fabulous scent comes from fresh herbs and essential oils. I have used the soap for a week and it was gentle on my skin leaving behind a subtle fragrance. My favorite body soaps were Colorado Clean scented with lemongrass and Rocky Mountain Rest scented with lavender. I tried the Lavender shampoo soap too. I have long, thick hair so soap in a bar form didn’t really work for me. However, I had my seven year old son try it and it worked like a charm. I loved that he could wash from head to toe with one product instead of two different bottles.

Summit Soap Company has a few other products available too.  The Rocky Mountain Man: Beard Conditioner is touted to “Keep your beard AND your woman happy.”  Now, that just makes me smile. My Dad and my youngest brother have beards. This might just be their next Christmas gift. I mean really, what beard having man with a good women wouldn’t want some of this?

Summit Soap Company and its great smelling soap just make me happy. They give to charities, they are working to save the earth and they are just plain funny. Go buy some!  www.summitsoap.com
